NEW Missionary Outfits for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

As of June 12, there are NEW additions to the missionary guidelines on how full-time male missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can dress! These include the addition of:

- Blue dress shirts

- Option to wear or not to wear a tie

This does not mean that all missions or missionaries will be effected. The standard attire for male missionaries will continue to be white shirts and ties with a suit coat in some areas. But in approved areas, these new exceptions will apply.

“Missionary attire has regularly adapted over time according to location, style and custom,” said Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles who chairs the Church’s Missionary Executive Council. “These exceptions are a continuation of that process.

“In all our considerations, we keep top of mind the missionary’s calling to represent Jesus Christ, their health and safety, and the cultural sensitivities of the places where they serve.”
