Eleven-year-old Danette has never been one to chase after adventure, but when two strange travelers wash up on the shores of Benotripia with a stolen amulet in their possession, Danette discovers that a Darvonian Prince has risen to power and will stop at nothing to steal back what has been taken from him. Together, Danette and her best friend Pyro must join forces with the two outsiders and deliver the amulet to the one person who can protect it-the Ancient, the creator of the Amulet itself. But with the Darvonians lurking in every direction and the threat of a traitor looming over their heads, will the four friends be able to reach the Ancient in time? Or will the Darvonians finally gain the power they need to overcome Benotripia entirely?
