About the Author: Pablo Smith
Pablo Smith has worked for over 20 years in the animation industry as an animator/animation director on projects for studios like Disney, Nickelodeon, and DreamWorks, where he honed his skill for visual storytelling as he worked alongside some of the top storytellers in the business. He now brings all of his knowledge and experience in storytelling to the Book of Mormon: A Graphic Novel series.
While serving his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Pablo fell in love with teaching the gospel. The series is his attempt to do justice to the real struggles and successes of the real people in the Book of Mormon. He connects the unwritten dots in their stories with action and humor, all while staying faithful to what is written. A lot can happen during “...it came to pass.”
He lives in California with his wife and children. When he's not at work drawing, and figuring out the best way to tell stories, he's at home drawing and figuring out the best ways to tell stories. He also spends his time exercising, reading books to the family, and serving in various church callings.
