This is the painful story of weight loss, acceptance of self, yearning for the love of family, death, healing, and ultimately forgiveness. Jill Strasburg shares the intimate details of her life's journey as she struggled to find her place in the world. Given 3 months to live, she fought through the medical issues and beat the odds.

Authors: Jill Strasburg, Robbie Tripp

Jill Strasburg is a 4 time visitor to the Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2005 she had gastric bypass and lost 150lbs. In 2009 she got married to the most incredible man in this world, and a month later I became so ill that she almost lost her life. Unable to eat for over a year she lived in and out of the hospital. No doctor could figure out why she was unable to eat or why she was nauseated to the point of being unable to speak 24/7. They also couldn't figure out while she was in excruciating pain all the time. In 2010 a doctor finally gave her a chance to live. He said he had no idea what was wrong, but after doing 12 surgeries in a year that hadn't worked, he would open her up, go into her stomach and try to fix anything that he saw wrong.

Robbie Tripp is an author, music artist, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Tripp Creative, author of Create Rebellion, and a TEDx speaker. He has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, Good Morning America, GQ, Men's Health, and BBC News. Outside of his creative endeavors, Robbie enjoys playing basketball, running, watching independent film, listening to hip hop and cool jazz, eating sushi, and attending live theater. Robbie also partners with his beautiful wife Sarah to run the popular fashion/lifestyle blog Sassy Red Lipstick. After spending the past several years building their careers in San Francisco, the Tripps recently relocated to their new home in sunny Phoenix, Arizona where they raise their baby boy.
