This miraculous story is found in Mark 5:24–34 and Luke 8:42–48. This woman of great faith suffered from an issue of blood for 12 years, spending all her money on doctors with no improvement. According to Levitical Law, her condition rendered her "unclean," meaning she was isolated from society and forbidden from religious rituals.
Seeking relief she reached for the Savior. She believed that simply touching the hem of Jesus' garment would heal her. Jesus felt power leave Him and asked who had touched Him. Though the disciples noted the crowd was pressing in. He identified her, acknowledging her faith and addressing her as "Daughter". Jesus told her, "Thy faith has made thee whole; go in peace," restoring her not only physically, but socially and spiritually.
