On Christmas Eve, a strange little elf named Grundlebumpkin arrives in the village of Golden Cove with Santa's magic bag. Santa's plan: the children can't choose their own gifts this year. Instead, each child must select a present for a mysterious child living "around the world." Some choose kindly; others pick lumps of coal and dirty dishes. But when the magic windows open, the children discover a surprising truth about giving—and about themselves. A warm, rhyming Christmas fairy tale about generosity.
“You should love everybody, and how can you do something mean to someone you love?”
Perfect for a parent or grandparent looking for a Christmas Eve read-aloud that teaches children about generosity and the golden rule.
