The Future of Publishing

If you haven’t seen this video yet, it is pretty amazing. It kinda says the same thing as Michael Norris, a senior analyst at Simba Information, said:

“Saying that bookstores won’t be around in the future because Wal-Mart and Amazon sell books is like saying Italian restaurants will go out of business because we have canned spaghetti sauce.”

    Well said. Of course the industry is changing, but I think it is best summed up by saying that content is more important than packaging. Our jobs as authors are going to stay essentially the same: being the creators of quality content that will inspire and engage our readers.

      So true. No matter how the publishing industry change, the need and want for good content will never change.
