There ought to be better zoning laws, Alison is certain, to prevent a clearly inept mother like herself from living next door to the ward’s, and perhaps the world’s, most perfect mother. Alison decidesafter the final straw has fallen on the camel’s back of her eternal maternal devotionto run away from home for Mother’s Day weekend. Her plan is perfect until disaster strikes, tables turn, and she becomes the only one who can save the day. If youor anyone you knowhas ever felt like a second-rate mother, Alison’s story will let you breathe easier, laugh louder, and love a little longer.

The Runaway Mother is a depiction of Motherhood and how we all feel about ourselves and our children. It is a book to be cherished and read over and over again to remind us of how valued we are as women and Mothers. I highly recommend this book to all to read. It is a true keepsake book.
It s not often that I find a book that I wish I could afford to buy for everyone. This 71 page book by Carol Lynn Pearson is one of those. I wish I could just buy a case and pass them out to every woman who doesn t think she s doing a good job as a mother. We all accomplish so much without even realizing it. Do yourself a favor and get this book.
