Jessie’s behavior has been marginal at best for quite some time, but when Jessie’s mom has to pick her up at the police station one night, it’s the last straw. Not knowing what else to do, Jessie’s mom packs Jessie off for the summer to live with her LDS aunt, uncle, and five cousins in Texas.

Now with no contact with the outside world except pen-and-paper letters, Jessie must spend the summer with a bunch of goodie-goodies. What a drag! Surely no good can come of it, right?
