"Ain't no Santa Claus!"
Mutt’s words, cold and hard on that hot July day in 1947, started a fight with Mutt’s best friend, Jeff, and set the stage for a confrontation with the Old Man in the Red Suit himself. Mutt and Jeff, with the always faithful and sometimes brave dog Buck at their side, set out on a Christmas adventure never to be forgotten. Along the way, their friend Daisy pushes and badgers them, making certain that they don’t lose sight of what they really set out to do.
For three children and a dog, their Christmas Eve will be full of excitement, danger, and suspense—even a little romance and a few laughs. Together they will learn a little about Santa Claus and Christmas—and a lot about themselves.
