“You make pretty good money at missionary work?” Jenn asked.

The two missionaries smiled at each other for a moment. Then Sister Lingfelter said, “The only thing that’s in it for us is helping spread the gospel. We don’t get paid anything except for that.”

“But why help me? I’m nobody.”

“Ah, but that’s where you’re wrong. You are a daughter of God.”

Jenn exploded into laughter. “Me? Boy are you wrong.”

Sister Lingfelter shook her head gently. “No I’m not. That’s something I’m absolutely sure of.”

For Jennica Cooper, life is hard and God is a stranger. But when two LDS sister missionaries befriend her, she begins to see the world—and herself—in a whole new light.

In this moving tale of hope and change, popular author Richard M. Siddoway tells the story of a young woman who learns to accept responsibility for her actions. As Jennica travels the road to repentance, she experiences both the difficulty of making amends and the joy of being forgiven. She also experiences the peace that comes from having an honest heart.

Reviews -

A Trusting Heart is more then just a wonderful story; it shows how we all can make the atonement work for our good. The mistakes Jennica makes and what she does to right them are choices we all have to make. It is a must read for anyone who likes LDS Fiction. (I've read it twice already)

-- Elisabeth Erickson, Reader from New Mexico

An Honest Heart aptly captures the core of what ails a good bit of our society. The writer composes an understanding of the wretchedness foisted onto children when parents do not or cannot provide the refuge, security and guidance so needed. The blunders, misinterpretation and mistakes made by Jennica as she searches for balance in her life are ones most of us face at one time or another. As Jennica learns to deal with problems in a calm, God led manner, her life becomes more endurable and gratifying.

-- Molly Martin, California School Teacher
