Hold on to Hope brings to each of us the merging of addiction principles with the necessity of including spiritual help and healing in the total healing process. This book should be in every home.
-Leon PoVey, Chairman of the National Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Prevention Committee
Hold on to Hope has been a life saver! I strongly recommend it for anyone who has dealt with or is dealing with a loved one with addictions. It has given me the courage to show tough love to my 18-year-old son with scripture references to back it up which helped me not feel like such a "mean mom." It also has shown me that some of my behavior was codependent and how that wasn't helping the situation one bit! My family isn't out of the woods yet ... by a long shot! But I feel that with my scriptures and this book, I will see this through with courage and HOPE!
"Many of us will find our greatest challenge is learning how to love and to help someone who has strayed into addiction. In Hold on to Hope, I share simple gospel principles that can act as resources in dealing with ourselves and others when addiction strikes our families."
-Dr. Rick H., Hidden Treasures Institute
Hidden Treasures Institute (HTI) is a nonprofit volunteer corporation. HTI is committed to carrying a message of hope to interested parties who respect the principles and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). Its primary purpose is to provide resources to LDS members with addiction, same-sex attraction, mental illness, and other
social and emotional concerns. HTI makes available education materials and listings of a variety of resources. It does not provide direct therapy and is not meant to replace professional counseling, appropriate use of medication, or local LDS Church leaders' direction.
Although not directly attached to a religious group, HTI encourages involvement in the LDS Church as a resource for dealing with social and emotional concerns. HTI's materials and objectives are based on principles including, but not limited to, those espoused by the LDS Church and other sound professional prevention and treatment practices. HTI delivers its services primarily via the internet site at LDSmentalhealth.org
