This book is written as a helpful tool for leaders and teachers involved with the bi-monthly Achievement Days program of the Primary Organization. It offers creative activity suggestions for each of the Primary's 12 Areas of Achievement: Arts and Crafts, Education and Scholarshup, Family History, Family Skills, Health and Personal Grooming, Hospitality, Outdoor Fun and Skills, Health and Personal Grooming, Hospitality, Outdoor Fun and Skills, Personal Preparedness, Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Service and Citizenship, Spirituality and Sports and Physical Fitness.
The activities contained in the book can be used as written, or they can become a springboard toward new ideas for leaders and the girls. They are easy to follow and have all necessary materials listed.
An exciting part of the book is the creative and inexpensive way which the author has developed to recognize the completion of each achievement area. A small cloth square is decorated with a simple design which typifies the subject area. These squares can be completed by the leader or with the class, and little or now sewing is required. After several squares are earned, they can be finished into a pillow top wall hanging or complete quilt. Patterns for the designs and finishing instructions are included in the book. It's an activity young ladies will love! This book will be a valuable source for Primary leaders, and may also be adapted by Young Woman leaders looking for new ideas and interesting activities.
