For the Holiday Story Contest–You want an attachment to the e-mail instead of the story contained within the body of the e-mail? That’s how I read the directions, but I’ve found that other publishers don’t want an attachment, so I’m just clarifying.
    Thank You,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I appreciate it. Now, I have to get to work rewriting and rewriting and rewriting my holiday story.

        Again, Thanks,

I submitted a Christmas story for your contest a few years ago. It didn’t win but I was asked if it could be considered in the future. (I said yes) Could I rewrite and submit it?

    • October 18, 2011 at 12:32 pm

      Yes, please do!

I think I could wrangle up a Christmas story. How do you feel about re-purposed pieces. I wrote a piece for my blog called “It’s All About the Love” several years ago that I can rewrite to include more detail and change the title to something catchier.

Also–totally off topic. I love the graphic, the lights on the tree are positively twlinkling at me and make me so happy. Oh wait, that might be my migraine medication. lol. Seriously, though, who did your graphic?

    • October 17, 2011 at 11:30 am

Yes. Send us what you can. And the graphic is just something that one of our interns found online. But yes, I love it too. =)

Do you want the Christmas stories to be true?

    • November 10, 2011 at 3:50 pm

No, they don’t have to be true.

I submitted my Christmas story a few days ago. I hope you received it. I am excited because I worked very hard to add interiority and fix my “talking heads.” I feel good.

I love your Christmas Contest! I have looked long and hard throughout the year for just the right contest, and I believe yours is the best.
Is there a way to find out if my submission has been received?
    Thank You

I read the winner to be announced Dec 15 2012, will the winners be notified on that date also?

  • January 11, 2012 at 11:18 am

It states “You will be notified January 13, 2912.”
Where did you hear about the December 2012 date?

    • January 12, 2012 at 12:37 pm

Not 2912. I’m confusing everyone more!!!! What a nut I am.

  • January 12, 2012 at 11:11 am

We will be announcing winners tomorrow: Jan 13th, 2012. Sorry for any confusion.

  • January 13, 2012 at 3:32 pm

Have the winners been announced yet?

    • January 14, 2012 at 6:39 pm

I have been trying to find a list and so far have been unsuccessful…if you find out let the rest of us know.

  • January 14, 2012 at 9:37 pm

I have been watching anxiously and cannot find a word about it. Are only the winners to be notified by email, or is everyone to be notified by email who the winners are?

  • January 16, 2012 at 7:35 pm

Thanks for the contest opportunity. I am sorry that my baby was deemed not suitable. LoL
Maybe next time. Again, thank you.
