Meet the Author:

Lowell K. Oswald was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and raised in Utah. He has spent over thirty years developingservices and programs for at-risk children and youth. Lowell has been employed as a high school teacher, educational diagnostician, school district administrator, and state personnel development director. He is passionate about improving the educational and mental health services for students struggling with emotional and behavior disorders, and has devoted most of his life to serving this population. Lowell obtained a bachelor’s degree at the University of Utah, a master’s degree at Utah State University, and a PhD at the University of Utah. He also completed two years of post-doctoral work in the school psychology program at the University of Utah. Lowell and his wife, Laurie, have been married for thirty-one years. They have three children and one grandchild.
