Katie Van Dyke graduated with honors from Brigham Young University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She is a gifted writer and an exceptional editor. Katie maintains a deeply rooted love for education and finds great joy in the art of teaching well. As a full-time homemaker, she has organized and administered grassroots educational pursuits that have greatly benefited children in the communities in which she has lived. Her ongoing advocacy of thoughtful education makes her an invaluable resource from which professional and lay teachers have drawn encouragement through seminars and in-service training presentations.
Most important, Katie is the mother of seven children. Conveying a love for literacy and meaningful educational pursuits to her children constitutes a core family value in her work as a mother.
Katie’s has served as Primary president, Relief Society instructor, and Cub Scout leader. Her favorite calling in the Church has been ward nursery leader. She and her husband, Blair, live in Cedar Hills, Utah. |
