Sterling H. Redd has had an identified interest in writing since one of his grandmothers pointed out this talent to him during his teen years. Following a year of active military duty during the Berlin Crisis, he finished his BS degree in Sociology and English at Brigham Young University. Upon graduation, he taught high school English in the Salt Lake area. After receiving an MSW degree at the University of Utah, he served for over thirty years as a clinical social worker and writer/editor for the Utah State Department of Health.
Sterling has served as a missionary in New Zealand, as a member of a stake mission presidency, and in subsequent years, as a stake missionary among people from several different countries. He has been a Gospel Doctrine teacher, a High Priest Group instructor, and a High Priest Group leader. Most recently he completed a mission at the LDS Employment Resource Center, assisting a widely diverse patronage in personal resume writing.
Sterling has a love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as a love of people, nature, classical music, literature, and writing. He is the father of five grown children and is currently residing with his wife, Fusako, and two cats in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sterling is also the author of Resource Manual for Parents of Special-needs Children in Salt Lake and Surrounding Areas, A Topical Guide for Latter-day Saints and Related Videos, and is the editor/indexer of the latest edition of A Story to Tell.
