Kara has been published in the Ensign and international Liahona magazines. She served as President of her local chapter of the League of Utah Writers before moving to Mesa, Arizona in 1992 where she currently lives with her husband, Jeff. She has four children: Jeff, Josh, Jennifer and Jace; two daughters-in-law, Mindy and Jamie; and one granddaughter, Grace.
Besides writing, she enjoys reading, painting, Yoga, singing with a group called "The Reflections," dancing with her husband, puzzles and playing games with her family. She loves everything to do with Christmas, but especially the music.
