Richard R. Hopkins graduated from UCLA and was a Los Angeles trial attorney for twenty-one years. He served a mission to the New England States Mission under Presidents Truman G. Madsen and Boyd K. Packer. He was ordained a seventy in 1971. He and his wife have four sons and and growing number of grandchildren.
