Doug Hissong grew up in Ohio, and obtained his undergraduate and graduate education in engineering at the University of Cincinnati and Ohio State University, respectively. He has worked in research and engineering companies in Ohio, New Jersey, Louisiana, and Texas.
He now lives in Houston. He is married and has three sons. His leisure interests include water skiing and snow skiing.
