Donald W. Hemingway, JD, is an attorney, teacher, musician and author. He graduated from Brigham Young University before he entered the United States Army in 1942. Later he received a law degree from the University of Southern California in 1948, and did further study of political science at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a graduate of the Air War College and the Industrial College of the Armed Services. He has practiced law in Nevada and Utah and worked many years in the office of the Staff Judge Advocate of the United States Air Force, specializing in contract law.
He taught religion at Brigham Young University, Salt Lake Center, for twelve years and at Brigham Young University Hawaii Campus for five years. He has authored a number of documents in his specialized field of law as well as several books including Christianity in America before Columbus? and Follow Me, a scriptural life-story of Jesus of Nazareth.
He is married to the former Donna Laws, who has followed his whims about the world in excess of fifty years with patience, kindness and love. They have six children, thirty-four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
