| Jennifer Lynn Coombs was born Jennifer Lynn Balmer on February 1, 1971. She was raised in San Ramon, California. She writes:
I attribute much of who I am to my parents, Jerry and Jackie Balmer, who helped me explore my interests and told me if I set my mind to it, I could accomplish anything.
I received a BA in English from California State University in Chico. I married Mark Rollin Coombs in the Oakland Temple, December 28, 1993. I'm blessed to be a stay-at-home mom of two boys: Spencer, age 3 1/2, and Bradley, age 2. My hobbies include crafts, playing piano, family history, waaterskiing and snowskiing. My favorite hymn is There is Sunshine in My Soul Today.
