Over the past 25 years, Dennis has served as the president of the France Paris Mission (1996-1999), eight years as counselor to three presidents of the Colorado Denver Mission and the Colorado Denver South Mission, ten years in stake presidencies of three stakes, and four years as a bishop. As a young man, he served in the Franco Belgian Mission.
He has always secretly desired to teach the Gospel Doctrine class in Sunday School. He received that calling after returning from France, but he served only one week before being called to serve in the bishopric of a young single adult ward, which calling he also loves.
Dennis has a B. S. degree in Computer Science and a B. A. degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah. He received a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Northwestern University.
During his twenty-three years in management consulting, Dennis has been retained as an Expert Witness in more than 150 civil litigation cases. His principal duties in this regard have been to evaluate, analyze and summarize evidence, and then testify.
He doesn't claim to be a scholar in terms of speaking ancient languages and performing original research. He has, however, read many hundreds of books and articles, and he enjoys succinctly summarizing the research of others and simplifying ideas for all to understand. He has given hundreds of Church talks and firesides, many about evidences of the true Church.
Dennis, and his wife, the former Kathleen Taylor, have lived in the Denver Colorado area for the past 30 years other than the three years presiding over the France Paris Mission. They have five children and ten grandchildren (so far).
