Dr. Derry L. Brinley was born and raised in south Texas. He is the second of four children. He served an church mission to Michigan. He later graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Biology and double minor in Chemistry and Communications. He then attended and graduated from medical school (The University of Health Sciences). He then completed two years of a family practice residency at the University of Kansas and transferred and completed a psychiatry residency. He then completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Dr. Brinley has been in practice for the past 12 years. He currently divides his time between his private practice, The Southwest Behavioral Health Center (a community mental health facility in St. George, Utah), and inpatient hospital care.
He is the proud father of two children (Adam and Daniel). His greatest joy and pleasure is association with family and friends! His favorite activities are: friends and family, church and community service, reading, learning, fishing, boating, hiking, wildlife observation, other outdoor activities.
