Annette Bradshaw and Gwyn Franson are sisters who enjoy sharing their designing talents with everyone. Their prolific number of designs and finished stitchery has been shared for years with famiy and friends. In 1980, their first counted cross-stitch book was published by Horizon Publishers. The two sisters ahve worked steadily since then creating a host of new ideas and patterns.
Their designs range from the beautiful renditions of LDS temples, through the lovely "Monuments to Women" series, to delightful and coloful humorous charts featuring such creatures as blue apes and clever mice and wise birds. The careful use of shading, bright colors, back-stitch outlines and their sense of humor appeals to a wide variety of stitchers.
Both sisters are involved with the activities of their families. Annette, wife of Craig Bradshaw, resides in sandy, Utah. Her time is occupied with her four children, pursuing advanced training in music, and teaching piano. Gwyn makes her home in Highland, Utah, with her husban, Jay Franson, and their five children. Family, school and church activities are among her interests.
They currently have fifteen books published and several more in the preliminary stage. They seek to create samplers with a worthwhile theme, and hope that through sharing these patterns, others may also find joy and purpose in their messages.
