| Brother Bartholomew served a mission to Pusan, Korea, and then received his bachelor's and master's degrees from BYU and a doctorate in the sociology of education from the University of Buckingham in London, England. He is now an instructor at the Institute adjacent to Utah Valley State College in Orem. He also teaches part-time in the religion department at BYU and for a variety of BYU continuing education programs, including EFY, Best of EFY, and Education Week. He also currently serves as a bishop.
Brother Bartholomew and his wife, Kristen, are the parents of seven children.
